Monday April 27th questions

On Monday, I am going to ask you clicker questions about a few muscles that I'd like you to spend time with before coming to class. There will be a clicker question and then we will talk BRIEFLY about each of these muscle groups before moving on to Nervous Tissue. These muscles are in the Muscles lecture slides. Please bring any questions YOU have about these muscles to class - this will be the time to ask.

1) adductor group
2) hamstring group
3) quadriceps group
4) gluteal group
5) calf muscles

unclaimed clickers

When I look at my reports for the clicker questions, there are 3 clicker ID's that are not associated with a name at this point. If any of these clickers are yours, please email me. You are losing points:(

Rebuttals for Exam #1 are due Wednesday April 29

Please be sure to read the info in the syllabus about how to write a rebuttal and - this is important - follow the instructions!! I will post an example of a proper rebuttal on the course website so you can get an idea of what to include. Remember there are 500 of you, so be brief, please.
Turn in a paper copy of your rebuttal to me - no emails please.
thanks. CP

Wednesday office hours changed

I am changing my office hours on Wednesday's to 12-2 starting this week. This will be updated in the on-line syllabus. Thursday hours will be the same.
And that being said, this Wednesday April 15th, I will be there from 12-1 only since I need to attend to some UW "stuff" from 1-2. Please feel free to email me in order to set up an appointment if these hours don't work for your schedule.

updated class preps

Just updated the bone tissue, skeleton, joints and muscles class preps with info on which questions in the chapter and at the end of the chapter I think are worth your efforts. Remember that these are their questions, not mine but they include material that we cover. Next week I will link a practice exam up on the course website that has questions from a few years ago so you can get a sense of what type of questions I write.

end of week 2 update

Phew, finally finished bones and bone tissue....thought we'd never get there. Next Monday and Wednesday we will discuss joints so be prepared for a quick joints clicker question and a skeleton review question on Monday. Thursday we'll see where life takes us. We may have to finish joints or we may start muscles and we may do some reviewing. Just not sure yet.

I'll let you know when I get the new clicker ID# file for you to check up here on this blog as well as updated class preps with the book question info. Stay tuned.
